Simmering in the light of August sun
Thereby you went across the lawn
Nothing more beautiful had I ever seen
Or was it your magic that had erased everything
Dreams sprinkled in my mind
Mimicking water that was making grass shine
All I wanted to do was to approach you once
Asking for a cup of coffee and a conversation
Chickened out at last and sent you a text
A silly little joke as a pretext
Only hoping that you would comment
and I would retort back to continue the exchange
Years passed by playing it along
Not even once I had courage to announce
Another silly little text changed it for me
It said it was ok to propose and be a little free
I texted you a hi
and you smiled back with a hello
Glowing in the dark was my heart with glee
Brightening the room in October auburn
